I would pay to have my nose removed right about now.

I'd totally go for the Phantom of the Opera/Erik look if my damned nose would stop running/being stopped up. If it would just function as a normal nose that would be perfect. I'm at school, drinking chamomile tea (be proud Anna, sans sweetener), listening to the bits of music I have to know for my Music Appreciation exam, and hoping the apocalypse comes along so I don't have to take the exam. I also need to finish my Concert Reports which going to the Purdue Bands concerts are randomly awesome (The William Tell Overture, ftw!), but not so much when you have the sniffles and everybody looks at you askance when you sniffle.

I'd just like to pause here and state that I DO NOT HAVE H1N1, lol. Definitely just my damned sinuses as per usual. I'm hoping to be cleared up by the end of the week. I drank enough orange juice today so hopefully I've overdosed properly on vitamin C. I should really stop and get some pineapple juice to go with my coconut rum. That would make me feel better in more ways than one I'm sure, lmao j/k though really my misery could use some alcohol. Just my being sick misery, other than that my week is starting off at the freaking top compared to last week.

My Shakespeare prof had me read my comment paper aloud because I came up with a kick-ass thesis concerning the last act and last scene of The Two Gentlemen of Verona. I got a 100% on my Greek lit exam, and Amanda has amazing ideas. A+++ Monday, minus the sitting here listening to Hildegard von Bingen part. She is from the Middle Ages and has the distinction of being the only woman to have a name to her work and the first to have a name attached to a work of music (if my drug fogged mind recalls correctly). This is followed by the Renaissance and Thomas Weelkes "Since Robin Hood" I have no fucking idea what the significance is. The song reminds me of the singing heads in Haunted Mansion like a Renaissance barber shop quartet? The Baroque gives us good old Johan Sebastian Bach with a Fugue of some variety. Then there's the talented Hadyn in the Classical era with a nice little symphony. Schubert and Giuseppe Verdi get the distinction of hanging out in the 19'th century together though why she couldn't pick something cool like The Valkyrie is beyond me. Schoenberg, Copland, and Glass are the 20'th century/modern peeps. Copland is the genius behind the music behind that "Beef, it's what's for dinner" commercial, did you know the song is actually a ballet? CRA-ZY

Also I'd like to state for the record that as far as I know I should be good to go for November (though I'm going to double check my calender/planner one more time when I get home, so let's knock on some wood). October is certainly as busy as hell, but next month looks pretty peaceful in comparison which reminds me I need to pick out a book to read for my Shakespeare class. *le sigh* I also need to do my Linguistics homework sometime this week so I can send him my drafts before break so I can make any final touches and turn it in for an awesome grade (hopefully) after break.

I also gotta write tonight which means tomorrow is going to be an early-ish morning to print shit off. a;dlfkjadkfj If I hadn't felt like crap yesterday I would have gotten a lot more done... though I guess I did make some fair progress in Batman: Arkham Asylum (which is the most kick-ass Batman video game ever, for the record). I just got my hands on Prof. Layton and the Diabolical Box and Kingdom Hearts for DS (flashcart love), but I'm going to have to wait until break rolls around though I'm going to need something to do when I go hang out with my relatives anyway. Is it weird that I have a sudden urge to be sociable with my extended family? I thought so until I realized that I'm a compliment whore.

Yay for blogging which I've been meaning to do in more frequency and then I fizzle out tiredly instead.

<lj:music>I wanna do bad things to you</lj:music>

I remember thinking one time, "Why in gods name do Nikki and Anna complain about answering LJ replies? It's not like it takes that long." Well... I bow to the time eating of comment responses, lol. What was even funnier was I had just got done watching True Blood and like I click off and the first thing I see is that the amount of stuff in my inbox had multiplied by like three. Not to mention I sent Nikki a huge private message of doom, lol. Then of course I had to respond to Anna's LJ post, more specifically True Blood which may have been better since I didn't have high hopes for it, lol.

TRUE BLOOD:

(no cut since it's quick/short commentary and everyone else has seen it)

Eric I love you, and Bill's pathetic posturing just makes you more awesome. Your "flying hair" was precious. I 'lol'-ed a lot this episode, and even though much didn't happen there was plenty of 'WTF' to go around. Also "teacup humans" lol, and Pam saying she was glad she never had any, more lulz. Pam needs to be more like book!Pam, but maybe... we'll see I suppose. I think I'm prejudiced toward Eric since in the book Bill was a douchebag, buuuuut we shall see how things go next season. All I can say is you might want to reserve judgment depending on what course they choose to go as far as this love triangle business is concerned. I do admit that Eric seemed a little too Sookie-focused this ep, but I feel like the transparency could be on purpose maybe??? Idk, all bets are off when it comes to Eric, and in the book he makes passes at Sookie 24/7 so... I just don't know.

I think Jessica/Hoyt is sad, but I blame Bill for leaving someone who he knows could fly off the handle alone with Hoyt's crazy bitch of a mom. THE THINGS SHE SAID TO HIM POOR WOOBIE! Sad panda needed a hug, hardcore.

Then everyone has pretty much said anything else worth saying I think. I think there will be plenty of 'commentsation' as Amanda calls it, lol.

*end True Blood commentary*

The only other thing I did this evening was write. I saw that everyone was all on MSN at the same time, but I knew I needed to get something down for tomorrow, fortunately it doesn't have to be finished and I made mine short. I think I'll work on what I have going some more tomorrow though. I'll spread it around to the public (aka you guys, lol) when it's more finished and maybe edited some. It's hard to force myself to sit down and write and do nothing else. I didn't even get to Buffy/Angel this evening since I did True Blood and LJ-ed and all. I like writing. It's work, but work that I enjoy. I just need to use the same tack as when I play music. You play a piece through to get the feel of it (in the writing sense that would be writing the whole damn piece) and then polish, polish, polish (edit, edit, edit). The finished product is lovely, and worth the blood/sweat/tears.

I'd also like to blog more about books and stuff. Kind of review maybe, but look at things in a technical sense.

I wouldn't mind to tackle Twilight in the academic sense. Talk about it in more than a "I hate vampires that sparkle" way since that isn't constructive really. I'd also like to talk about Sookie Stackhouse, but that might have to wait depending on how long True Blood runs on HBO ;), hahaha. Of course I'd never run out of things to talk about then, lol.

Though not Shakespeare. Today proved that I suck at getting to the deeper meaning. -_-; I think I'm just rusty. I'll be fine once I hit up some Sparksnotes and am used to being in the class. Today was frustrating though. I was just like *deer in headlights* and I couldn't seem to say anything right. I don't want to be the one he doesn't call on because I stay stupid things *head-desk*. At least I rock my Greek Lit class, and I'll be rocking my Fiction class now that I don't have flat tires to worry about. I srsly need to get my oil changed though. I have 50,000 things to do and I can never remember to do them. I also suck at using my planner.

I'm taking my laptop tomorrow I think. Well... I am, but idk if I'll be dragging it all over campus with me. Not that I'd have to drag it a whole lot o'places, really but it should be lighter than carting around that stupid Shakespeare book.

I swear school is just out to make me crazy. CRA-ZY.

My goal is to have nothing to get done this weekend so I can enjoy it and bask in it. Huzzah Muncie! I'm doing okay so far. In some ways this semester will be more demanding, but also less. I think really I'm going to be alright, woohoo! Anyway I need to go to sleeeeep, and get up eeeearly and wooooooork and get McDonald's iced coffee (well maybe, if it's not freeze your ass off cold outside).

Btw, my classes are done at 12:20 on Friday so I can just come right over after that if one of you is going to be done/be there. Is there anything else I should bring besides my tablet and the essentials? <3

I really need True Blood icons.

I also 'lol' hardcore because every time I check my g-mail my comments like spawn! I love it though, and after this they shall spawn more.

Today was pretty good. I got free food because they had a 'Taste of the Union" thing on campus. Only two classes and no work so not bad at all. Huzzah!

Then I came home and I finished season three of Supernatural *sad face* but then there was the gag real and Jensen Ackles can really do that dramatic chipmunk thing well, and it cracks me up every time also how they proclaim their love for one another is precious. Now season four just needs to go on an uber-sale! Ftw! I need to get the Supernatural love going around like the True Blood love is going around. (I promise it's wintaaassstiiic)

Then I started season seven of Buffy and so that's what I've been doing aaall evening, because it's like crack. Tasty, slayer, crack. I also have season four of Angel I need to get watching, but I'll probably wait until it starts crossing over before I get caught up on Angel. I need to get season five on sale tomorrow and then my collection shall be complete, bwhahaha.

The beginning of this season of Buffy was disturbing, and it just continues onward, lol.

I'm out of things to write about I think, alas.

I'm so happy to be sleeping in tomorrow.
Road dust in my throat...

Or rather, under the bed dust in my throat. I finally cleaned out under there and boy was that an arduous task, especially since my back is still killing me. I'm sure I'll pay for that tomorrow, ~_~;. However, a broom, a dust-mop, and swifter duster later it's not too shabby. I also tidied up the floor and found some places for ComicCon stuff. I should really start scrap-booking between all of the little bits of stuff I manage to collect and all the pictures I have I'm sure it would be rewarding. I'm not sure if I have the time or the patience for such a thing though I do love the idea of it, speaking of pictures I haven't forgotten about them I just haven't had time to put them up or retouch them in photoshop for that matter.

At least I successfully located my tablet. It turns out it was where I thought it was just more cleverly buried under my crap than I thought it could be which is good as I'm suddenly in the mood to icon and redo my layout. Of course this burst of wanting to do things comes at the end of summer. I wanted to be really productive this summer and that turned out as epic fail. Super epic fail even. Perhaps forcing myself to be super productive this last year during class was the fault of it, because after it was done I was waving the white flag hardcore. Then I'd thought I'd get over it after a couple weeks, and then nada. I apparently need to cut myself off from society more since that's the only way I can get shit done. The internet society at least. I just can't do anything worthwhile while I'm on the internet. I feel like I wasted today with my cleaning too even though it really needed to be done. Now I just need to hang up clothes and do laundry and I'll be peachy for the most part. I even washed my school bag today. It needed it hardcore, hopefully it shall survive the coming semester. It's in pretty good shape though really there is like a tiny spot on the bottom where it has worn through, but that can be easily patched over should it become necessary.

Once I finish buying books I'm getting that external hard drive and then never spending money again, lol.

Anyway, I need to go to sleep. I was going to make this longer, but I can always do another one tomorrow. I'll have more time at any rate since I'll be done cleaning like crazy.

<3

So I discovered the amalgamation of the worst similies and metaphors packed into one chapter of a book ever.

Bad Prose Link 1

Bad Prose Link 2

Read at the risk of your own sanity, or for the complete lulz. I just...I had to link and share, because I didn't think you'd believe me if I just posted random lines. It's not made up, lol. It's like Merry Gentry on crack...I think...as I haven't actually read that tripe.

Anyway, you should just read for the lulz.

Actually, I'll even dare you to give me a worse similie/metaphor than what has been presented here, I know we're all a creative bunch so...have fun!

So...in other news...there isn't much to say, lol. I've been working, and...playing Knights of the Old Republic which has completely eaten my attention. It's worse than when I was into The Sims...and I'm sure we remember how that was. Soon you'll know how it is again as Amanda/Kevin are going to be Sims3-ing it up. I'm abstaining, for now...we'll see how long that lasts after I never see them again, XD.

My life is so droll, and thus I have nothing to blog about really. I'm just counting down the days 'till Indiana is a bad dream for two weeks out of July.

Shop therapy, it's good for the soul.

Probably not so good for my wallet, but I'm 99.9% tomorrow is a pay day so...it will be like it never happened! I was going to say especially since I worked twice the hours I did in school last week, but that won't show up until my next paycheck. I'm supposed to be spending money on clothes anyway, it's in the lovely budget. *Dances*

My friend Michelle and I had lunch at Panera, and she showed off her lovely new DSi which is quite spiffy I must say. Little bit longer, little bit thinner, +camera, sans GBA port, and a place for an SD card. It's quite nice, and I also liked how they put the power button on the inside and made the volume control non-sliding. I may get one in the future sometime, but hopefully they'll come out with spiffier colors that aren't like in the matte style. (I like shiny things so sue me, lol). I'd much rather save up for a new laptop which I have decided that I'm going to get one, but this time I definitely not getting a Dell. I'm not rushing to put anything on my credit card at the moment though as I know Windows 7 is coming out in 2010 and I will be saving for abroad. I shall wait to see how Windows 7 turns out most likely, but I'm going to be looking at Toshiba and Sony Vaio as I hear tell those are the brands to go for. This laptop will have lasted me four years of college which isn't bad as far as road life goes, so I should be able to trade in just when XP gets super outdated, lol. Vaios are shiiiiiny, and I want one *grabby hands* but I'm a penny pincher at the worst sometimes. Oh well, at least between me and Kevin I shall have Wii and Xbox360 action so I can be content with a crappy computer for now. I just need it to word process really, everything else I can live with until I get out of Indiana in the ever nearing future.

Kevin and I are going to rock the gaming systems this summer. I don't know how quickly you're going to get sick of your family Kevin, but whenever you want to come over to start milking my PS2 for all it's worth is totes fine with me. I just need a 24 hour heads up so I can clean this sty I affectionately call a room. God what a mess, lol. It's mostly just a matter of organization though...sadly I don't have enough shelving to go around, alas. I should clean out some more drawers in that worthless dresser, OI. I'd put more crap back where the air conditioner is, but I'm supposedly getting a new one so I'm trying to leave that space as open as possible so we can take the old one out and put the new one in. It should be a super-awesome though so you won't have to worry about over-heating or anything, lol.

My friend said he'd look up times for the movie on Friday, and such as I don't know when exactly we're seeing it yet idk what you want to do before/after etc. I'm pretty much open to whatever, or if you'd like suggestions from moi now that I'm more familiar with the downtown Lafayette area and its perks/quirks I'd be happy to offer them up.

Wow, that was quite the tangent.

Anyway so back to my lovely day. After Michelle and I ate we wandered the mall, and Aeropostale was having a sale so I got two pairs of shorts [one pair of denim, and the other pair a lovely brown color (yay for buy one, get one free)], I got a couple of shirts (one in that maroon color that I seem to adore, and a colorful peace sign shirt that I thought would a. go well with my earrings, b. go well with my pink skirt, and c. looked quite summery and bright and lovely), and then they had these cute little slip on shoes marked at like 70% off I think it was so I got those too (they're like a pink plaid with enough darker pink that they should go quite well with those lovely maroon shirts I do so adore). Then I got a free little back-pack thing (you know the cinch type ones) for spending my money there. We then moseyed over to Hot Topic and I got that yellow Sonic The Hedgehog girl-cut tee that I've been eyeing the last several times i was there. I was surprised that I needed a Large in it, but really the Medium and Large fit almost precisely the same through the chest and around the neck/arms/shoulders, but the Large is longer which is what I need. I'm not really super tall, but all of my height is in my torso so when it comes to bending over/reaching up/what have you the Medium is like "I'm going to show off your belly-button now" and Kylie does not like this, lol. Then I got some dangly star shaped earrings and a peace-heart bracelet from Hot Topic also. I love the earrings and I can't wait to wear them, but I'm busting out the peace sign stuff tomorrow and my pink skirt of super win.

I remember when I used to absolutely hate shopping. I got all of my jeans from J.C. Penny's, and I never dared set foot in Aeropostale or American Eagle or what have you. I mean I'd take my sisters to the mall, and they'd want to go in and look around and I'd quietly excuse myself to go to Hot Topic and tell them to meet me there as I felt like such an alien presence. It's really weird to go in to one of those places now, and not have to over-worry about finding stuff that will fit. I guess maybe it's weirder how I don't take it for granted. I just hated going in there, because I knew that the stores were not geared towards my former build. It made me so self-conscious. I give my props and kudos to people that don't give it a second thought of course, and that are happy how they are. I just never felt like that. Maybe it's sad to say so, but I didn't even like walking close to the entrance of those places I'd veer away towards the benches if I could. Now it's just like 'oh hey, let's go see what's on sale' and boom off I go. Not to say that I still don't have my hang-ups. I tried everything on today and I'm like "Really...it fits???", and Michelle took a picture of me on her DSi with its spiffeh camera feature and I was like 'woah...is that me?'. I'm beginning to think I'm never going to escape my warped self-image though as I'm trying to maintain 135, and I've now dropped a couple pounds below that I have taken some nice liberties with eating things the past couple of days. It's weird to be "done" so to speak. I mean I could probably drop ten more pounds and be a size six, but I'm tired of buying pants and I'm totally fine where I am I just need to tone so I have less belly chub.

However, go Amanda go, lol. Since you are still persevering onward. We will be sexy bitches this summer. I was telling her how I need to make up a routine of some variety so I'm a)actually toning like I want to, b)not sleeping my summer away, and c) getting into a writing habit like I want to also. I want to have a productive summer though I won't say it wasn't nice playing Knights of the Old Republic most of the day today. I just need to make it so I get up and work out and then I won't feel guilty about wasting the rest of the day playing Knights of the Old Republic or doing whatever.

I've also decided that as soon as I'm off the rag I'm going to start tanning. I already have tan lines, and I haven't even been outside all of that much. My toaster doesn't brown toast as quickly as it takes me to get a few shades darker. So in favor of not having screwed up tan lines, and in favor of not burning like a lily-white indoors girl I'm going to start going to The Tanning Hut. My mom already has a nice freaking tan going on from there. I should have some units leftover from last summer, and I already have tanning lotion so I'm pretty much set except for my stupid monthly time of hell. It's why I needed shop therapy in the first place, lol. I might go back to Aeropostale and get some more tops, but I'll have to scout out the mall some more. I think I'll get more cheap Old Navy flip-flops too. Those don't bother me to walk around in all day now that I've properly weaned myself off the Nikes.

Yay California (yay Amanda), yay productive summer, yay tanning/shopping/toning, yay life.

Really for my summer wardrobe the only thing I really want now are tanks, maybe some more geeky tees for ComicCon, and an awesome bathing suit. I'm pretty much good on jeans/shorts/shoes/tops/etc. otherwise. Maybe some more chonies, but that's what sales at Target are for.

Now I'm going to dream happy dreams about shiny new laptops and California and wifi and having Kevin home so that we may do many things together.

I also have a lovely sporadic work schedule so I should have plenty of free time for the above things.

For waking up this morning thinking that the universe was against me life is looking pretty damn good at the moment.

Goodnight all. :D

Despite my exciting post title, I'm going to try to not complain.

I just need sleep really, and my caffeine rich iced coffee from McDonald's didn't help my poor head. See there's a yawn, and there's nothing on TV to entertain me either.

Though, speaking of entertainment, I'm freaking addicted to this facebook application called 'Vampire Wars'. It's not even anything fancy. You just do things via a simple click of the mouse and like level up and collect stuff. I just need more minions so I can get more blood as some abilities drain blood. My goal for this evening is to get enough minions to break even. I'm almost to level 10 and I've only been playing for a day. I'm pathetic, or maybe in need of a good vampire story fix.

It just saddens me how the vampire genre has taken such a tale dive. I mean srsly...Bram Stoker to...Twilight. Why god...why??? It's sickening. Vampires are fun because they could rip your throat out at any second, but Stephanie Meyer has both de-fanged and de-balled her vamps. She de-balled her heroine too. Bella Swan=pathetic. I understand the self-insert appeal, but I do not understand why people want to be bossed around by their controlling vampire lover. Edward Cullen would probably regurgitate half that diatribe that Amanda was copying and pasting to our conversation window last night by that French author. What was his name...? I don't remember. At least Kevin likes the werewolf, even though he's kind of a cho mo...

Ahem...despite my dislike of Twisuck which we all know is vehement...not much is going on in life.

School, work, homework, studying, etc. Diet things are going well. I'm finally back down where I was before Easter, though I may have fucked myself over today. That's okay I'll not weigh tomorrow and be extra good and we'll see how it goes. That's the good thing about the maintaining stage you can like 'take a day off' and be fine, lol. I was watching Biggest Loser today, and while Amanda and I have come along way (70-80 lbs lost between us). It amazes me how these people lose over a hundred pounds. It amazes me even more that I've lost 70. I can't imagine carrying around 70 extra pounds right now. I don't think I could carry it. I don't know how I climbed stairs before. It just seems absolutely insane. I'd like to try and just carry around something that weighed 70 lbs to see what it's like.

It seems strange that I wasn't like I am now, especially now that I'm used to it in most ways. Some days I still get dressed, look in the mirror, and wonder where that strangely attractive creature looking at me came from (lol).

That reminds me I should do laundry, ugh, and clean...double ugh. I hate being disorganized, but yet it just ends up that way.

Oh well, my productive thing of the day was playing my sax. YAY CIVIC BAND TOMORROW. It's the new highlight of my life. I forgot how much I love my saxophone and playing my saxophone and my lovely golden baby in general *caresses it*.

I won't kiss it or anything though. Next thing you know there will be an anime about musical instruments like that one about countries...sometimes the world really does surprise me, and not always in the good way, lmao, ;).

Anyway, I'm off to go get more minions and kick more vampire ass (preferably the ones named Bella, mwhahaha).

Not a real post. I'm just doing the book meme, ftw.

BOOK MEME

1) What Author Do You Own The Most Books By?
R.L. Stine, from back in the day, old school yo.
Second most, Stephen King

2) What Book Do You Own The Most Copies Of?
Probably...Lord of the Rings, that's the only thing I recall having multiple copies of.

3) What Fictional Character Are You Secretly In Love With?
No secrets here that I can think of, besides the people that I don't really get a chance to 'fangirl' about. It's not like I'm actively hiding my love though.

4) What Book Have You Read More Than Any Other?
Bambi by Felix Salten, the Darlington Library has the check out card to prove it.
Followed closely by Micheal Crichton's Jurassic Park.

5) What Was Your Favorite Book When You Were 10-Years-Old?
Liiike...5'th Grade? I'm not sure. I remember being really in love with The Island of the Blue Dolphins in elementary school, and I think that was later on. A Wrinkle In Time maybe, I think I read that around then.

6) What Is The Worst Book You've Read In The Past Year?
Twilight.

7) What Is The Best Book You've Read In The Past Year?
The Noble Dead Series or whatever Stephen King I read.

8) If You Could Tell Everyone You Know To Read One Book, What Would It Be?
Lord of the Rings, one author to rule them all...

9) What Is The Most Difficult Book You've Ever Read?
Dandelion Wine...only because it was very difficult to keep myself from burning it, lmao. On a technical level...Memnoch the Devil by Anne Rice (good god was that...let's just say heavy) or Frankenstein for psychological/philosophical reasons. Beloved by Toni Morrison ranks up there too.

10) Do You Prefer The French Or The Russians?
The Russians.

11) Shakespeare, Milton Or Chaucer?
Oh man...I don't know who to pick :(

1. Chaucer, 2. Shakespeare, 3. Milton

...so thus I ranked.

12) Austen Or Eliot?
Austen

13) What Is The Biggest Or Most Embarrassing Gap In Your Reading?
Well if we're going time gap, nada since I've had American Lit and Fiction this semester. If we're going general gap the more intellectual reads that I've neglected or been neglected, etc.

14) What Is Your Favorite Novel?
This question is next to impossible for me. I'll go ahead and say Dark Tower as that is definitely at the top of the list somewhere.

15) Play?
Hamlet.

16) Poem?
I don't remember the exact title, but something about Hades and Persephone

17) Essay?
The Potholder one by my fiction teacher.

18) Short Story?
Currently, The Gingerbread Girl

19) Non-Fiction?
Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl (it's really the only non-fiction I've read besides Benjamin Franklin's Autobiography)

20) Graphic Novel?
The Fray, thanks to Anna

21) Memoir?
We'll go with Ben Franklin's AB

22) History?
N/A

23) Mystery Or Noir?
Sherlock Holmes

24) Science Fiction?
The works of Micheal Crichton.

25) Who Is Your Favorite Writer?
Once again, an unfair question pour moi, but I'll go with Stephen King though JKR holds a fond spot in my heart too.

26) Who Is The Most Overrated Writer Alive Today?
Stephanie Meyer, probably followed closely by Christopher Paolini

27) What Are You Reading Right Now?
Just After Sunset, Walt Whitman

I changed my iGoogle to the Super Mario theme today. I like fractals, but I decided I needed a change of pace. They have all sorts of gaming ones now so when I get tired of Mario perhaps I'll pick another game to replace him. Maybe they'll get Kingdom Hearts that would be radtastic, or maybe they already do have it. I didn't bother to check. Sonic the Hedgehog would also be in my video game theme line-up.

My NetZero has really been a bitch the past few days. Idk, wtf it's problem is, but I was about ready to strangle it earlier. It disconnected and reconnected like 3 times. Aneurysm inducing piece of shit dial-up. I want DSL. Maybe if I offer to sell AT&T my soul...naaaaah.

I felt like I was going to say something else of importance, but now I don't remember what. I was writing earlier which was nice. I'm going to go back to writing here shortly, but instead I'm going to work on my fanfiction. Maybe my little beginning of a drabble that I was working on earlier can be something I can develop for my writing class next semester. I don't really know where it's supposed to be going yet, but I'm sure I'll think of something. I'm going to change it to the 1'st person POV though. I started off 3'rd person and when you eventually lapse into 1'st you know it's meant to be.

I should probably get working on my editing for my stories for class, buuuut idk. Soon. I want to develop a nice writing habit, and hopefully I can develop an exercise routine alongside it, we shall see.

*Siiiiiigh* It's lovely to have a finished layout once more. I was so sick of it being unfinished. Yay for Sleeping Beauty!!!

Music of the Night v. Once Upon A Dream is a go!!!!!!

Wow, otherwise I really don't have that much to say.

Friday I did zilch. Saturday I hung out with Tim, and today I got up and watched The Legend of the Seeker and then messed around and then watched the Academy Awards and somewhere in there finished my layout. Not an entirely productive weekend, but it was fun so I can't complain. I did read for tomorrow, and got nothing else done which I might regret tomorrow. Oh wellz.

Oh yeah I played Animal Crossing today. It didn't look too shabby for not having played for like two weeks, lol. It amuses me that I can make like 50,000 bells off fruit alone almost. Man I am such a slacker.

I propose that we add like two more days to the weekend, because I'd actually get to do other things rather than recover from the week before.

Well...bedtime now I guess.

*cue the music*

Not like super hardcore Twilight Zone, but still my evening had that quality about it.

For the majority of the day I did nothing exciting. I got up, watched some Supernatural special features watched some Alias and did laundry then showered and made myself pretty to go see The Spy. It was pretty cool. I'm glad they made it so different, because then I wanted to pay attention, lol. Anyway so it was kosher, and then the play ended and we knew ahead of time that we were going to have the opportunity to go hang with the cast.

So some of us did, myself included. We went to the Holiday Inn that's over across the bridge in downtown, and the bizarre quality came when I sat down and ordered a drink (at the bar itself, oh lala which was actually really, really nice) and then one of the actors spent the rest of the evening hitting on me which was extremely flattering. It was just strange...very, very strange. Usually I'm the girl that hangs out on the fringes and everyone ignores. I really didn't expect for this guy to not only sit and talk with me for an hour, but then like stick at my side as I changed venues for another half an hour+some change which by change in venue what I mean was when I returned to hanging out with the rest of my class that had come. So yeah, odd. Odd for me at any rate.

Dodododooo dodododoooo dodododoooo......

Kylie was running the cloth diligently over the surface so it sparkled like a ruby.

"Where did you get that?" Amanda stared at it in awe though she wasn't sure how she felt about red, and how she felt about not thinking of it first.

"Where do you think I got it?" Kylie tapped the side of her head with her forefinger.

"Now that we have our own wheels we won't need Bruce." The taller brunette added, finishing her last swipe with a flourish.

"He can sit in the back."

"Oh no, we're not getting in that situation again. If I'm driving it's going to be this piece of fine and classic machinery and with no backseat...you know what." Kylie's eyes filled with love as she stared at the car of their dreams, and looked at it much like she would look at the baby.

Amanda sighed...she liked Bruce...but she liked Dean Winchester better.

"Let's try it out." She nodded to the newly erected Supernatural portal.

"That may be one fandom where we should go alone. I don't think we can play nice and share."

"Uhmm...I need you to come so the ghosts kill you and then Dean and Sam come save me, yes?"

"No."

"Aw, come on!"

"Maybe if you're good, I'll let you borrow the keys." She jingled them merrily, and whistled as she began to ascend the steps out of the bat cave. Kylie didn't entirely trust the elevator when Amanda wasn't getting her way. One time she'd ended up in a place reminiscent of something out of Beetlejuice.

Since I can't think of anything better to do, and it beats finishing my layout...

1. I am a hopeless romantic and there's nothing to be done about it. Titanic is a very sigh-worthy movie as such.
2. I think I'm officially addicted to Animal Crossing.
3. I want to be a writer, but I'm very bad about actually sitting down and writing.
4. My uncle may be a drunk retard but it's still always nice to come home and just sprawl on my bed.
5. I really don't want to go in and talk to the insurance people about my car, boo I say.
6. I realized this evening when I got home I stole Anna's hair tie, whoops.
7. I have a hard time letting people borrow my stuff due to bad experiences in elementary school, Kendra Smith totally tried to steal my slinky.
8. I realized the other day that I still have no idea where my Sonic game is which makes me sad because I love Sonic, apparently when I clean my room I lose things even more.
9. I have absolutely no directional sense, and thus I cross the length and breadth of Wal-Mart many a time before I get everything that I need.
10. I don't like having my hair swept away from my face, because I think I look too much like my dad.
11. I like mirrors too much now whereas before I didn't like looking at them at all.
12. Some days I fear I'm forming a morbid fascination with my body image which annoys me, I'd like to start thinking about it less.
13. Sometimes I wish I had more friends at Purdue or that I had gone to Ball State, but I'll never regret all of the money I have saved even though sacrifices have been made.
14. Sometimes watching the cat sleep is all of the entertainment I need as she always picks the weirdest sleeping positions. That and she's too precious to take my eyes off of.
15. Valentine's Day always makes me want to slash my wrists. Worst. Holiday. Ever.
16. I will never cease to love Disney. I'm a child at heart.
17. I love my room because it is an odd collage of all of my favorite things. I can't remember how Nikki described it, but it was an apt description that becomes ever more applicable with each thing I add.
18. My greatest joy in a general day to day sense is when I come home and discover that my uncle is spending a few days with Angie. I practically do a jig.
19. I think if I'd grown up under different economic circumstances I'd be a total mall rat.
20. I think TV on DVD is the greatest invention of the 20'th/21'st century.
21. I believe there should be a book version of Netflix.
22. My favorite smells are vanilla and citrus smells.
23. There are certain things that always remind me of certain people. Anything French=Kevin, YGO/Anime=Nikki, Dark Tower/Comics=Anna, most of my fandoms=Amanda
24. Sometimes I'm afraid I'll be stuck in Indiana for the rest of my natural existence.
25. I'd like to write a novel about an alien invasion, starring a heroine that's patterned after a certain girl I know who is terrified of aliens. I think it'd be a fun novel to write.

Of course, before any further ado:
Happy Birthday Kevin!!!

So I've been sick, but I think I've kicked my illness's ass. I feel way better today which is very pleasing to moi, and it's really only supposed to 'flurry' today/tomorrow so I think it will be alright for me to come to Muncie. Except for my back road 231 and all looked really good for the most part. So I'm just going to pray that my chosen route will be just as neat and orderly tomorrow. I'm going to go into town and get gas tonight so I'll be able to give 47 a once over, and I'll make note of 26 as I drive through Romney as that will be half the fun too. I think since I'll be taking mostly main highways and since it snowed rather than was nasty/icy I should be good.

I'm going to be at school this evening for a literary reading, and so if you have any questions/comments/concerns you all have my cell phone number. I'll be available between 4:15 and 7:30, and then I'll probably be home around 9. I remembered to set SPN to record Amanda so no freak outs! Lol. When I get home it will be a quick round of laundry, and then I'll shower/pack which puts me in excellent shape for tomorrow.

I'm going to remember to bring:
My Tablet
Anna's DVDs
My DS
Kevin's MarioKart game
...Tea? (I don't think I can live without it all weekend so if you don't have any, I'll bring some so I can scratch my itch, lol).

If there's anything I've forgotten comment to remind moi!

Oh yeah I should probably bring some variety of homework things, but maybe I'll just try and focus on my writing for my Fiction class. It's also my goal to work more on my fan-fiction. I am going to finish damn it.

I think that covers my general state of being at the moment. Yay for feeling better though I still had to park in the way back of Ross Ade which was extremely annoying, but I should be able to park in the small lot this evening. I'm also going to be forced to spend time waiting for the bus after my psych class. God I don't want to go to psych. Sitting somewhere curled up with a book all weekend really is my idea of a good time, but alas I never have time for such a thing.

RPing, that's also something I should try and get done this weekend 'lest I get rusty.

Anyway smoothie time, and then class time. Woo...

I think I probably missed the swearing in by like five minutes, but I watched our new president's speech and the proceedings afterward. I don't think I've ever been so excited for an election. I mean I was curious with Kerry vs. Bush, but I'm happy to say that today I'm proud to be an American. I just hope I cast my vote for the right person, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I haven't been alive long enough to really see a lot a change, but I've been around for some. I road in on the coattails of the 80's which included Madonna, teased hair, Michael Jackson, Ronald Reagan, and Pac-man. I guess my era of growing up with be the 90's and the new millennium, and I don't have to list the many significant events of our era we've lived or can at least Wiki them. In these past several years we've seen heartache, economic crisis, and struggle to slog through the day to day. I think that 'yes we can' do so many things, and I hope President Obama sticks to his message and promises of change. I think growing up we see so much change in ourselves and how we perceive the world, and I'm totally ready for some change, good change.

Maybe it's too much to hope that Barrack Obama will be the FDR of our new millennium, but I hope that he is and not in the way that FDR was. It's not time for a new deal, but rather a new perspective.

I'm so excited for 2009, and I really hope that it's going to be a good year.

My icon is my favoritist writing icon evah. I started re-reading Phantom by Susan Kay last night and I'm like 130 pages in already, lmao. I mean to bring it with me today, but I think it's a good thing I didn't or I'll never get anything revised for Fiction. I was thinking about warming up with Poetry, but that seems like a cop out. I'm also going to read more of The Morganville Vampires tonight. I left off at the angsty part and then my real-life angst interrupted and I was like 'I think I'm going to do something else now' lol. Phantom and that are different enough that it won't bother me to read both at the same time. Not to mention if I remember correctly it's the next part that I sort of struggled through the first time around. Not because it wasn't good, but it lost some momentum in places. So if I'm like 'gaaaah, need a break' voila break material lol.

It was a beautiful thing to sit in my psych class today and vote for our little music contest thingy and not have to worry about the final AT ALL. I think I actually sighed in contentment (quietly though). It's just a relief not to have to worry about it. Eastern Religions exam is on Monday though, boooooooooooo, booooooooooooooooo I say. I feel like I know nothing about Taoism. So I'm either going to read the entire book on like the Saturday before the exam, oooooooor spend a hell of a lot of time on Wikipedia ;D.

Of course now I'm procrastinating by blogging, but I don't know what it is about blogging during the day that beats doing it in the evening. I think by the time I get online I feel like I contribute what I've done during the day via MSN so it's like 'what's the point?' especially when most of my days are rather boring. I feel a Phantom kick coming on now too I think now that I don't have Supernatural to lust over. Oh Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki *siiiiiiigh*. I need some posters of that hotness I just wish I had wall space left, lol. I think though if I get my room re-arranged like I'm praying for then maybe when I re-arrange the wall space too I'll have more, or at least I hope I have more. If not we'll go to plan B where I get fabulously rich and renovate my grandparent's house so I have my own separate wing that has a jacuzzi and an indoor pool.

We'll put my uncle out in a shack in the woods *sage nod*.

Well here I go again. <lj:music>...of the niiiiiiiiiiight, lol.</lj:music>

'Tis the season to be jolly!

I'm in an insanely good mood and I have no idea why, but I like it. I like it a lot or a lot, a lot even. I'm sure it's going to crash and burn when I get home since I'm sure my uncle is going to do something to ruin it (wow, channeling my grandma there, I'll be optimistic and say I'll spend the entire night locked in my room and never even see his face!). Anyway I think it's a combination of hormones (at least I get the pms out before X-mas though unfortunately not before finals, waah waaaah waaaaaaaaaah) and Laura letting me off work an hour early, ftw! She's so awesome. I have the best job in the world, or the entire universe even. Next semester I could be working from 10-12 hours which is great in my book. More moniez for me! I'll be working on Tuesday evenings though, but I don't mind since I have a class that runs until 6:20 on Monday so I get my late nights out of the way early in the week. Not to mention I don't have to be in class before 10 next semester so that means I can go to bed at midnight get up at 8 and be perfectly chipper. Win/win.

Also here are my holiday plans officially.

I'm working the 22'nd, 23'rd and 24'th (only until five on the 24'th) then I get the rest of that week off; however, the second week of break I'm going to Tennessee and I'll hang there through New Years. I'll return and that week shall be my birthday which is on Tuesday and I'll have those two days off of work at the least. Then classes resume on the 12'th.

So there is my projected itinerary. I'll probably leave for Tennessee on the 27'th and return the 3'rd since I know I'm doing Christmas things with my mom on the 26'th. I'm not sure if I'm going to be working the 5'th, 8'th, or 9'th I guess it depends on how much the other girl wants to work.

So there you have it, and whenever I start packing I'm begging you to please not let me forget my cell phone charger! Lol!

Kevin: Don't forget to bring me Alias when you guys come home!
Anna: We'll make plans for going out and about once we're both finally of age ;)
Nikki: I believe you still have the PS2 version of my classic sonic games, could you get that back to me I was really in the mood to play it the other day and now that I'm on break I'm going to dust off my video games, whoot!!!
Amanda: Don't let me forget to get your present together tonight so I can mail it during my break tomorrow!!!! Also, address would be helpful. If you just want to e-mail it to me at mageofroses@gmail.com go for it, I think I have it somewhere...but where I'm not quite sure.

MICHELLE: We should totally hang over break when/if you aren't busy with Yuletide gatherings, because I'd to at least give you back Fruits Basket and I intend on getting The Morganville Vampires completely read by break so I can hand those over too depending on the timing, see above for my schedule, lol.

Oh LJ thou makest me feel organized.

I'll also be posting up my schedule for next semester sometime in the near future, probably after my work hours are set in stone so to speak.

I really have no idea where this good mood is coming from. Who knew that getting off work that early would make me be like 'lulz, best day evaaaar!!!'? I'm even excited about Fiction and Poetry even though my Portfolios are due less than a week from today, and not even that thought is causing me to panic. I think that's because I feel like poetry is practically done though. I'll be getting my final revision comments today, but I've revised a lot of poetry as Amanda can attest so I'm hoping that all that's left are going to be really minor tweaks.

Fiction I'm going to set down and force myself to do this evening. At least "Paradise Abandoned" and then I'd like to at least go through my critiques for the second one who's title suddenly escapes me, whoops, lol.

I have also now lj-ed and it hasn't been emo, fweeeee!!! I think that's why I've been putting it off for so long, especially since I've made you all suffer through my rants of bitterness in person, lol.

Now I'm going to skip off to Fiction and hopefully enjoy the rest of my day!!!!!!!

I'm also going to start re-reading Phantom tonight, because it's sexah!

I still can't believe I ate so much crap over Thanksgiving break and only gained one pound. I am blown away, lol. Not to mention I swear I have to smell bacon every other morning so maybe I'll be less insane now. Eggs are good though. I like eggs. I was wondering if it would be a bad move to incorporate cereal sometimes in the mornings. Sometimes a bowl of cheerios just sounds absolutely amazing. Oh man...it's sad that I'm excited about cereal. I need to bust out the oatmeal again and like cut up strawberries in it or something, that would be tasteh. Or like do a waffle with fresh strawberries on top, that would also be tasteh.

*goes back to homework and stops obsessing over food*
